  • Support new product introduction from design release through industrialisation and production launch, ensuring manufacturing requirements, risks and deliverables are clearly defined and managed.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling requirements and production documentation in line with engineering drawings, quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and programme teams to resolve producibility issues, control engineering changes and achieve agre ed cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness through process validation, capability assessment, production trials and launch reviews, using lessons learned and production data to support a safe, compliant and stable ramp-up.


The Role

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer supports the industrialisation of new products from design release through production launch, ensuring manufacturing readiness, quality, compliance, and operational performance.
Your Responsibilities
  • Lead NPI activities from design release to production launch.
  • Assess manufacturability and define production processes and controls.
  • Develop process plans, work instructions, tooling requirements, and production documentation.
  • Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and programme teams.
  • Support tooling, equipment, and facility readiness activities.
  • Conduct process validation, production trials, and capability assessments.
  • Manage engineering changes and maintain configuration control.
  • Support FAIR, PPAP, manufacturing readiness reviews, and customer approvals.
  • Resolve launch issues and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Monitor production performance to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
Essential Skills / Experience
  • Experience delivering New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation projects.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, control plans, and tooling requirements.
  • Knowledge of tooling, equipment introduction, commissioning, and production readiness.
  • Experience with process validation, production trials, capability studies, FAIR, and PPAP.
  • Understanding of AS9100, configuration control, traceability, and process compliance.
  • Experience managing engineering and manufacturing change control.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
Desirable Skills / Experience
  • Aerospace, defence, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, APQP, or equivalent quality qualification.
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Process Capability.
  • Experience leading cross-functional NPI or industrialisation programs.
  • Supplier industrialisation or production transfer experience.
