Detailed job description and main responsibilities Promote and facilitate life-long learning within the clinical area. To act as a role model within NICU and demonstrate best clinical and professional practice. To facilitate junior nursing staff in the development of competence, skills and knowledge in the assessment of care needs for infants and their families. Assist in the planning and implementation of professional development programmes and pathways. To develop orientation programmes, orientate and preceptor new staff members and provide support mechanisms for these.
Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - Current registration with the NMC Paediatric RN or Adult RN status
- Post registration Neonatal Critical Care qualification (QIS)
- Teaching and assessing qualification and /or Mentorship Module
