Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Neonatal Service as a
Lead Clinical Educator on a
12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension beyond 12 months to cover a secondment within the service.
As part of the
senior nursing team within the Family Health Care Group, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining education and training programmes for the neonatal workforce, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and professional development.

Main duties of the jobYou will be part of the senior nursing team within the Family Care Group and will be responsible for leading, developing andmaintaining education and training to the Neonatal team. We are lookingfor an innovative, dynamic individual dedicated to the provision of excellentpatient care with the development of staff and the improvement of service andperformance.
The post holder will beresponsible in assisting staff to assess, develop, implement and evaluatepatient outcomes through specific education programmes. To be able to work collaboratively acrossboundaries, both internally and externally for the benefit of neonatal care andstaff development, sharing areas of expertise and best practice.
The post holder will provide visible and high quality professionalleadership across Neonatal services in nursing, supporting the DivisionalQuality Improvement plan. Through the ability to inspire and lead you willdrive and implement practice improvement and staff development to improve our familiesjourney, lead in implementing quality measures across the educational pathwayand assist in the delivery of a structured, competency based induction &training programme for new staff to the clinical areas ensuring a system ofpreceptorship & mentorship is fully utilised.
