Salary £13.45 Per hour | 5 hours per week Minimum | Mobile General Catering assistant | Chorley | Fixed Term until Dec 2026

International Sponsorship - this role is not open to international sponsorship

Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service

You will work as part of a team offering relief cover in Schools in the Chorley and surrounding area, providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children

Key responsibilities:

Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away

Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages

Cleaning of all equipment and catering areas

What we are looking for:

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative

Good customer care skills

Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable.

Working Hours/Days:

Monday to Friday

Term time only

5 hrs per week MINIMUM, 1 hr per day Guaranteed , although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake
