MASH Team Manager Social Worker

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for an experienced
MASH Team Manager Social Worker to join a dedicated
Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in
Nottingham City. This exciting locum opportunity offers a competitive rate of
£42.00 - £45.00 per hour and the chance to provide strong leadership within a fast-paced safeguarding environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced
Children's Social Work Team Manager,
MASH Manager, or
Senior Social Worker with a strong background in
safeguarding, child protection, and multi-agency working. You will lead a team of social workers responsible for responding to referrals, assessing risk, and ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide effective leadership and management to a team of Social Workers within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
- Oversee the screening, assessment, and decision-making process for referrals relating to children and young people.
- Ensure effective safeguarding responses and timely interventions are delivered in line with statutory guidance.
- Support social workers with complex cases, professional decision-making, and risk management.
- Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional development to team members.
- Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance across the service.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies including police, health professionals, education providers, and other safeguarding services.
- Contribute to strategy discussions and multi-agency safeguarding processes.
- Promote high-quality, child-focused social work practice.
- Support service improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of Children's Services.
Applicant Requirements: - Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care.
- Previous experience as a MASH Team Manager, Social Work Team Manager, Children's Services Manager, Advanced Practitioner, or Senior Social Worker.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of child protection, safeguarding, MASH processes, and statutory social work frameworks.
- Experience managing and supervising social workers within a children's safeguarding environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced safeguarding service.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
