Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the next phase of development of our newly opened Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

The Centre provides a welcoming and accessible space for people affected by cancer, their families and carers, offering high-quality information, practical and emotional support and access to personalised care.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader to establish and embed a comprehensive support service and ensure the Centre becomes an integral part of cancer care across the organisation and local community. Working with clinical teams, Macmillan Cancer Support and wider health, care and community partners, you will shape the Centre's services, develop partnerships and increase its reach and accessibility.

You will lead the Centre team and volunteers and play a key role in delivering the Trust's Personalised Care agenda, including supporting our Cancer Care Coordinator workforce.

We welcome applicants from clinical and non-clinical backgrounds who can combine strong leadership and service development skills with excellent communication and a commitment to improving the experience of people affected by cancer.

This is a unique opportunity to take a newly opened Centre and shape what it becomes for the people of Stockport.
