Job description
Do you love the Mac and want to help define the future of macOS app development?
Join the Mac UI Frameworks team and work on the next generation of our UI frameworks - SwiftUI, AppKit, UIKit - powering every app that runs on macOS. On this team, you will be in a dynamic and inspiring environment that not only encourages, but requires constant curiosity and growth to solve the challenges we take on. Help us solve those problems with the innovation and passion you'd expect at Apple, and shape the next decade of app development!
Description
As a member of the Mac UI Frameworks team, you will join us in developing future framework features and APIs that impact all of Apple's platforms. You will be responsible for bringing your ideas to life through all stages of their development: from initial research, to API design and proposals, to testing and development in Swift, to documentation and offering guidance to adopters. You'll join us in energetic discussions on each other's work and ideas, alongside people from different teams and perspectives. Our team's work is at a critical part of the macOS stack and we are core contributors to new operating system features, such as design refreshes, new hardware, intelligence integration, and many others - we build what users expect from all apps on the platform.
Youʼll also have the opportunity to collaborate with experts throughout Apple including: compiler engineers, performance experts, security engineers, interface designers, and technical writers. Because we have the privilege of collaborating closely with the Swift, Xcode, design, and framework teams up and down the software stack, we believe Apple's UI frameworks can be - by far - the best app development experience in the world. If youʼre interested in helping define this future and pushing the state of the art forward, weʼd love to hear from you!
