Weinvite you to join us as a Specialist Psychiatrist at Haytor Ward, a new role working alongside aconsultant nurse approved clinician (MPAC) or consultant psychiatrist and acohesive MDT to provide senior medical inputto this adult acute inpatient ward based at Torbay Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The post holderwill be providing the senior medical leadership within an Acute psychiatricward in Torbay.

The post holderwill be available 9-5 Monday to Friday. The post holder will be based on HaytorWard, Torbay Hospital.

The post holder willwork within MDT and offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients on Haytor Ward, inpatient psychiatric service, as well as other expert clinicalservices in support of patients and their families/carers as judged necessary.

Experience

Essential

• Minimum of 12 years medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent years experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted.
