Join or Assessment & Intervention (A&I) teams, where we serve as the entry point for children, yong individals, parents, carers, and collaborating agencies seeking access to or transformative Children & Families services. As a Senior Social Worker: Yor role is pivotal. Managing intricate caseloads, yo'll serve as a beacon of expertise, offering gidance and spervision to colleages, all in prsit of positive change for children, yoth, and families. In the absence of the Team Manager, yo'll step into leadership, overseeing the team and dty services.

What We Expect: Yo're an experienced social work practitioner, nafraid of handling heightened levels of risk. Yo're a mentor, giding and advising peers, a performance manager, and an agent of improvement. Yor knack for cltivating strdy relationships with partners and stakeholders is indispensable.

Key Responsibilities:

Giding Expertise: providing consel and professional spervision, shaping the practice standards that elevate or social workers.

Navigating Complexity: Yo'll assess complex social care needs, devising spportive strctres for vlnerable individals, children, and families.

Legally Sond: Working within stattory gidelines, yo'll discern when intervention becomes a necessity, ensring compliance with legal frameworks.

Active Participation: in case conferences, cort appearances, and reviews, particlarly when a social care perspective is paramont.

Safegarding Champion: Yo'll assess and strategize to safegard and advance a child's welfare, cstomizing interventions based on their needs.

The role reqires yo to be mobile throghot a wider operational area inclding travelling arond the conty of Essex and beyond, transporting service sers and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency. Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility reqirements of the role throgh other means is essential.
