Person specificationEducation/Qualifications Essential criteria - MBChB/MBBS or equivalent MRCP
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Diabetes &Endocrinology/General Internal Medicine: CCT (or equivalent or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview)
Desirable criteria - Higher qualification (e.g. MD, PhD)
Knowledge/Experience Essential criteria - Extensive training and experience in Diabetes & Endocrinology & General Medicine
Desirable criteria - Evidence of ability to pursue independent research.
Other Essential criteria - Demonstrates honesty, commitment and integrity
Skills Essential criteria - Ability to communicate with other members/ grades of staff, patients, families, and General Practitioners
- Commitment to multidisciplinary work
- Evidence of involvement in service developments/ planning
- Knowledge of corporate structure of NHS Trusts, the NHS plan and clinical governance
Desirable criteria - Specific training in communications skills, teaching etc
- Evidence of successful implementation of new working patterns/methods
- Evidence of specific training in management (e.g. courses, practical experience)
