Person specificationQualifications and Status Essential criteria - MBBS or approved overseas equivalent
- MRCP or approved overseas equivalent
- Full registration and license to practice with the General Medical Council
- On the Specialist Register for Medical Oncology or within six months of obtaining a certificate of completion of training (CCT) at date of interview.
- Evidence of on-going professional development
Desirable criteria - Higher Research Degree (MD/PHD)
Experience Essential criteria - General oncology experience
- Subspecialty experience in gynaecological cancers, including the delivery of care for patients enrolled on interventional studies
Desirable criteria - Experience in national or international collaborative research networks
Personal Qualities Essential criteria - The ability to work in collaboration with consultant colleagues in the unit and across Royal Marsden
- Ability to provide academic and scientific leadership within a multidisciplinary research environment

Flu Vaccination - What We Expect of our StaffAt The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
