Job summaryLocum Consultant ENT Surgeon Special interest in Rhinology and Otology Full Time (10 PAs) We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Consultant ENT Surgeon to join our forward-thinking department at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a surgeon with equal expertise across Rhinology and Otology to help us shape and grow a balanced, high-quality service for our local population.
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery to join the team of Consultants in the ENT department at Whipps Cross University Hospital. This is a 12 month fixed term post, offered on a full time basis of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week, with the genuine potential for the post to become substantive, subject to service need and satisfactory performance.
Main duties of the jobThe post is split equally between Rhinology and Otology, and the successful candidate will be confident managing a broad general ENT caseload alongside these subspecialty interests. The post holder must be proficient in paediatric mastoidectomy and other paediatric otological procedures, septoplasty, and functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) in adults, as well as routine paediatric ENT work more broadly. Candidates with additional interests that complement our existing team are also encouraged to apply.
The post holder will deliver outpatient and theatre sessions across our sites, working closely with colleagues at Whipps Cross University Hospital, and will participate in the department's on-call rota.
