A Glimpse into Or World: Children with Disabilities (CWD)

CWD is part of the Children and Yong People with Disabilities (CYPWD) service in Mid Essex. We work with children -16 with disabilities. We are a strong team with committed workers who continally strive to spport the children we work with.

Or Children and Yong People with Disabilities Service is on a mission to empower children and yong adlts p to 5 years old who have special edcational needs and/or disabilities, along with their families. The service operates from offices strategically located in Basildon, Chelmsford, Colchester, and Harlow, ensring accessibility and convenience for all. Within these offices, or dedicated teams collaborate seamlessly to provide an integrated and holistic service.

Meet Or Dynamic Teams:

- 15 Social Care: Caring for the yongest members of or commnity.

16 - 5 Social Care: Spporting the transition into adlthood.

Occpational Therapy (OT): Enhancing lives throgh tailored therapies.

Preparing for Adlthood (PFA's): Giding or yoth on the path to independence.

Bt we're not stopping there. Or high-needs frther edcation team is on a mission to break down barriers. They process applications for additional fnding, making sre learners with learning difficlties and/or disabilities have the opportnity to access Post-16 college provision.

Yor Jorney Begins Here: What We're Looking For

If yo're ready to embark on this rewarding jorney with s, here's what we're seeking:

Qalifications: A diploma or degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or an eqivalent qalification.

Experience: A minimm of 3 years post qalifying experience.

Certification: Registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.

Professional Standards: A demonstrable capability to practice in line with crrent professional standards, sch as the Professional Capability Framework (PCF) and Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS).

Docmentation: Proficiency in case recording.

Social Work Skills: The ability to apply social work knowledge, sing emotional intelligence, analytical skills, and confidence in challenging social and family sitations.

Tech-Savvy: A strong working knowledge of information technology and related systems, inclding Word and SW case recording systems.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly, inclding evenings and weekends when necessary to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

The role reqires yo to be mobile throghot a wider operational area inclding travelling arond the conty of Essex and beyond, transporting service sers and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency.
