Salary: £24,700 - £24,960per annum (Pro rata salary: £8,190 - £8, 277)

Hours per week: 14.5

Working pattern: Wednesday 7.5 hours, Friday 7 hours

Weeks per Annum: 44 weeks per annum

At Abingdon & Witney College, we're looking for a friendly, proactive, and student-focused Library & Learning Centre Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in creating a welcoming and dynamic learning environment where students can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Library & Learning Centre team, you'll support students and staff with accessing learning resources, research tools, and digital technologies while delivering an outstanding front-line service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing a welcoming, student-centred service within the Library & Learning Centre.
• Supporting students and staff with research, learning technologies, and digital resources.
• Managing the front desk, responding to enquiries, issuing resources, and providing basic IT support.
• Supporting cataloguing, shelving, stock management, and collection development.
• Maintaining an organised, engaging, and inspiring learning environment.
• Assisting with inductions, displays, and service improvement activities.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Enjoys working with students, staff, and a wide range of stakeholders.
• Preferably has library experience or a library-related qualification.
• Is confident using technology, including Microsoft 365 and digital learning tools.
• Is organised, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive learning experience for all.
