We are currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Social Worker to join our team.

What you'll be doing

As a Level 3 Social Worker within the Child Exploitation Team, you will work with children and young people aged 10-18 who are at risk of, or experiencing, child exploitation, including criminal and sexual exploitation, trafficking, missing episodes and other contextual safeguarding concerns. You will undertake purposeful direct work with children and their families, building trusting relationships that enable children's voices, experiences and wishes to be heard and acted upon.

You will play a key role in assessing risk, developing effective safety plans and coordinating multi-agency interventions to reduce harm and improve outcomes. Working closely with colleagues across Children's Services, education, health, police and community organisations, you will support children to increase their safety, resilience and opportunities while helping families and networks to strengthen protective factors.

The role requires confident decision-making, strong partnership working and a commitment to safeguarding some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our city. You will have the opportunity to work creatively and innovatively, responding to complex risks both within families and in the wider community. The work is challenging, varied and highly rewarding, offering the chance to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people affected by exploitation.

What You'll need

You'll have a post qualifying experience as a Social Worker. You'll have knowledge of relevant child legislation, guidance standards and regulations as they relate to fostering, adoption and special fostering arrangements. With confidence, you'll be able to confront challenges, balance risk and make appropriate decisions.

You must have recognised qualifications in Social Work e.g. CQSW, DIP SW or CSS, SWE registration.

You also need to hold a full driving license and will be assisted to complete a DBS check.
