Job description Legal Support OfficerWe are recruiting a Legal Support Officer to join our Legal Services team based at our Cheshire Constabulary Headquarters. This is a great opportunity for someone with legal, regulatory, or professional office environment experience who will be able to assist with the investigation, preparation, conduct and consequences of a variety of legal cases.
About the role ....- Supporting legal and regulatory casework by maintaining accurate case files and records.
- Preparing correspondence, reports, statements, and other documents.
- Carrying out research and summarising findings.
- Assisting colleagues with the progression of cases and legal processes.
- Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
About you .....We are looking for applicants who have experience of working in a legal office, regulatory environment, or a similar setting.
You will have:
- A Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experience relevant to the subject area
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing files and handling confidential information.
- Good written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate documents.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
- A team player with a positive and professional approach.
- Knowledge of court procedures or legal processes would be beneficial.
