This is a part-time position, working 22.2 hours per week, on a maternity cover basis.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties of the role

• To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, both discrete, face to face and on-line.
• Proactively track and record student progress against starting points ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available.
• To complete and use initial assessments of learners to ensure that their learning needs are met and appropriate learning journeys are planned.
• To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students

Required skills and qualifications

• All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first three years of service, with the assistance of the College.
• Ability to teach GCSE and/or Functional Skills maths Entry Level - to Level 2.
• Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
