In this role you will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Science in the School of Health & Life Sciences, as well as contributing to the wider School and University.

We are looking for an individual with the ability to teach a range of Forensic and Crime Scene Science topics. Applicants should have expertise in crime scene investigation, forensic evidence examination, and the application of ISO/IEC 17020 and/or ISO/IEC 17025 standards to trace evidence detection and enhancement using alternative light sources (ALS) and chemical treatments. Knowledge of human remains identification would be an advantage.

There are two posts available, one full time (37 hours) and one part time (18.5). You must be able to start no later than 11th January 2027 if you wish to apply for this post. The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.

Please be advised that due to the minimum salary thresholds imposed by the UKVI, this post may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
