Lecturer - Hospitality and Catering FXT

We are looking for a Lecturer in Hospitality and Catering to join our team. This is a 21 hours per week, part-time, fixed term role until June 2027 offering a salary of £18,846 to £26,064 per annum.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching.

• To act as a personal tutor to a group/s of students.

• To prepare learning materials and students' assignments.

• Marking of students' work and examinations, moderation and verification.

• To operate as part of a team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme(s).

• To maintain appropriate programmes, college records and quality system.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Level 2 or above in English and maths.
• Level 3 or above in Food Preparation and cooking.
• Full recognised teaching qualification.
• Sound grasp of relevant teaching strategies and techniques.
• Substantial and successful teaching experience (up to level 3).
• Have a working knowledge of current industrial practice in the hospitality and catering industry (food preparation and cooking).
• Have knowledge of safe working practices in both the restaurant and kitchen areas.
• Have substantial industrial experience in food production.
