Lecturer A - Hairdressing and Barbering

Job description

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspirational Hairdressing and Barbering lecturer. You will deliver highly effective teaching, learning and assessment and support learners to maximise their potential and to make positive progress towards their timely successful achievement.

Ideally, you will have:

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
• Level 2 Maths and English qualification
• Level 3 or equivalent in Barbering and Hairdressing
• Experience in teaching Barbering (L1-3)
• This post will require the candidate to have an Assessor's qualification
• Relevant, successful experience of teaching across a variety of levels (L1-3)
• Recent, successful experience of working within the Hairdressing and Barbering industry

Day-to-day you will have responsibility:

• To deliver high quality and inclusive teaching and learning on one or more courses.
• To support the Head of department on curriculum and course development.
• To take part and comply with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
• Develop resources, support teaching programmes and deliver on a number of courses as required.
• To support the achievement of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
• Comply with all College policies and procedures and maintain personal compliance.

As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
