Job description

The College Merthyr Tydfil are thrilled to offer an opportunity to join our proactive and progressive Independent Living Skills (ILS) Team as a Learner Support Worker.

This is an exciting and rewarding role supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs and disabilities to access learning, develop independence, build confidence and achieve their individual goals and aspirations.

The postholder will work collaboratively with learners, teaching and support staff, parents and external agencies to provide person-centered, consistent and personalised support, both within and beyond the classroom.

We are looking for a patient, adaptable and enthusiastic individual who is committed to promoting inclusion, learner wellbeing and positive outcomes.

The post is a permanent, fractional, term time only contract ie 35 hours per week x 36 weeks per annum.

A DBS check and EWC registration are requirements of this post.
