Woodbridge Prep School are looking to appoint a passionate and motivated Teaching Assistant, with experience of working at KS1 (Key Stage 1) and KS2 (Key Stage 2), to join the nurturing and energetic team.

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning across KS1 and KS2. The role will involve working closely with a specific class at times, while also providing flexible support across different year groups and classes as needed.

As the successful candidate, you will foster a positive learning environment, encourage pupils' confidence and independence, and work collaboratively with teaching staff to help every child thrive.

You should have natural empathy with young children, as well as being a highly motivated and inspiring individual with a passion for working with children to encourage learning in a safe, stimulating and effective way. You will hold a relevant Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification and will have experience of working with young children in a similar setting.

Hours of Work

We are looking for you as the successful candidate to work up to 30 hours per week, ideally across 4 or 5 days.

Our Core Hours for the role are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday - Thursday and 8.30 am - 1.30 pm on Friday. Actual working hours and days can be discussed at interview. This role is term- time only, working 34 weeks per year.

You will also assist in exam access arrangements and promote pupil independence, emotional well-being, and academic progress. Your role will require initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to fostering inclusive learning environments.
