• Salary: Band 3, Scale Point 3 £25,948 (£20,293 pro rata)

St John's Cathedral Catholic Primary is a small, friendly school in the heart of Portsmouth. We have a tradition of providing an excellent education alongside superb pastoral care.

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced LSA to work across our school and nursery with pupils who have a range of needs. The role will include working with pupils with behaviour and/or special educational needs. Duties will include some break time supervision, support in class and personal care.

We are looking for LSAs who:

• Have early years experience and experience of working with children with special educational needs
• Will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils enabling them to make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
• Someone who will be wholly supportive of our Catholic ethos. (We welcome staff from Catholicism, other traditions or with no faith background.)
• Are positive, caring and work well in a team
• Ideally have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
