Salary: £12.84 - £12.97 per hour

Hours per week: Various (full-time and part-time options up to 37 hours per week)

Working pattern: 6 hours a day minimum

Location: Witney Campus

Contract type: Permanent - term time only

We are looking for an enthusiastic Learner Support Assistants who can inspire, encourage, and provide high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

As a SEND Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning and support needs across various educational settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a college that values diversity, inclusion, and personal development.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEND needs, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Assist in facilitating group workshop activities and classroom learning.
  • Offer pastoral support to help students thrive socially and emotionally.
  • Adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and the wider support team to ensure a consistent and effective learning experience.
  • Promote independence and confidence in learners through tailored support.

Essential Experience:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEND in an educational or care setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing student needs.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in an educational context.
