Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £30,572 to £32,586 per annum. Plus generous benefits, including:

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our growing Brickwork team as a Learning Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with bricklaying experience who is looking for a rewarding career change and would like to help develop the next generation of construction professionals.

Working closely with our teaching team, you will support the delivery of practical training for both full-time students and apprentices. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the workshop environment, preparing materials and training areas, supporting practical activities, and helping learners develop their skills and confidence.

The role also includes ordering materials and consumables, preparing mortar mixes, maintaining high standards of workshop housekeeping, and supporting the development of risk assessments and safe systems of work.

As a key member of the Brickwork team, you will play an important role in ensuring learners are well prepared for practical assessments and industry expectations while contributing to a safe, organised and productive learning environment.

About You
You will have relevant construction industry experience as a Bricklayer and be passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential. Ideally, you will hold industry qualifications and understand current working practices within the construction sector.

The successful candidate will be hardworking, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team. You will enjoy working with young people and apprentices, building positive relationships and supporting them in a patient, professional and encouraging manner.

Strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety are essential. You should hold at least a Level 2 NVQ in Brickwork (or an equivalent qualification).
