MPS/UPSSupply Desk is working in partnership with a
welcoming and
supportive primary school in the Ascot area to appoint a
dedicated and
enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher. This is a
fantastic opportunity for a

This role would suit an
engaging and
creative teacher with a
strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, who is committed to
fostering a love of learning and supporting pupils'
academic and social development.
The RoleAs a KS1 Class Teacher, you will play a
vital role in supporting pupils through a
key stage in their learning journey, helping to build
strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum
- Supporting pupils' progress in phonics, early reading, writing, and maths
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data-driven teaching and targeted interventions
- Supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN
- Promoting confidence, independence, and social skills
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Desirable
- Experience within Early Years or Key Stage 1
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics frameworks (e.g., Little Wandle)
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A creative, nurturing, and engaging teaching style
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work full-time in the Henley (RG) area from September
Desirable- Experience teaching Year 1 or Year 2
- Expertise in phonics delivery and early reading development
- Experience preparing pupils for Year 2 assessments
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Knowledge of assessment and progress tracking
