Job SummaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team at Clayfields House Secure Children's Home. Located just a few miles from the M1, we provide care and support for young people aged 10-17 from diverse backgrounds. Our focus is on delivering care, education, and enriching experiences for those who require secure accommodation.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our established catering team. In this role, you will assist with food preparation and maintain a clean kitchen environment, ensuring that our young residents receive nutritious meals in a safe setting. Your work will play an important role in their daily care and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with vegetable and basic food preparation.
- Clean the kitchen and all equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Engage positively with staff and young residents.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic food preparation skills or a willingness to learn and undertake basic training.
- Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in a kitchen environment.
Soft Skills- Relate well to a diverse range of people, including young residents and staff.
- Show initiative and be able to work independently when required.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a supportive team atmosphere.
