We are recruiting a Key Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Youth Offending Service
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £31,537- £34,434 and offer access to training and development opportunities. Two opportunities have arisen within the Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly Youth Offending Service for Key Workers. Both posts work across three case management teams and undertake identical duties, supporting children and young people aged 8-17 who are at risk of offending or anti-social behaviour, or who are involved with the Youth Justice System.
As a Key Worker, you will manage a caseload of children and young people, undertake assessments and develop tailored intervention plans to address the factors contributing to offending behaviour and vulnerability. Working closely with young people, their families and partner agencies, you will deliver targeted support and intervention programmes that promote positive outcomes and reduce the likelihood of future offending.
The role includes direct one-to-one and group work, maintaining accurate case records, monitoring progress, and contributing to reports and assessments. You will work collaboratively with a range of agencies, including Education, Health, Social Care and the Police, to ensure coordinated support for children and their families.

For the role, we ask that you have: - An NVQ Level 4 OR NVQ level 2 with commitment to completing YJB PCEP and Foundation Degree Courses.
- Knowledge of the risk factors relating to offending behaviour and effective practice in reducing offending behaviour.
- Experience of working with children, young people and their families.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel within and beyond the borough to attend meetings / transport clients / visit clients at their home.
