Here's the exciting bit...a day includes
Contribute to the implementationof department and business strategies through category analysis and planning
Tracking the sales, margins andstock levels of your categories and producing regular reporting
Collaborating with the widermerchandising team, supply chain and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

Planning the optimalrange/assortment by store group, alongside the buying team and working withVisual Planners to bring these to life on planograms
Preparing key performance reportsand ad hoc analyses to aid decision making
Owning and managing the range review process ensuring the critical path isadhered to
Setting customer focused merchandising principles, ensuring fixture is rightfor the category & the business guidelines
Analysing trials and initiatives to provide clear insights and proactivelysuggest next steps
Undertaking various other tasks for the role, and where required, to supportothers within the merchandising team.
Undertaking other business projects as and when required, liaising withdepartments including commercial, finance, data insights, marketing, supplychain, property and store operations

What you'll need to succeed:

You will have experience in merchandising, inventory management, retailplanning or retail analytics.
You could be an AssistantMerchandiser or Junior Merchandiser, or a Merchandise Assistant looking to takethe next step in their career.
You will demonstrate good attention to detail and data integrity
You will have good verbal reasoning skills and the ability to understand andinterpret the bigger picture as well as present to key stakeholders in thebusiness.
You will be numerate and analytical
You will be positive and proactive, and use analytical skills to seek solutions
You will have an aptitude to challenge the status quo, and figures that appearmisleading
You will be team focused and be able to work collaboratively with otherdepartments
You will be customer focused
You will be confident with the Microsoft Office suite - in particular Excel;and demonstrate an aptitude for working with spreadsheets.
