Leahurst Equine Hospital is looking to recruit an Interim Resident in Equine Surgery on a fixed term basis to maintain clinical team coverage during a period of staff turnover to ensure adequate spacing of our residency programmes.

The role is within the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital and primarily aims to support clinical activities, rotation teaching, and research, as well as CPD/Postgraduate education when required.

You will be involved in the daily small group teaching of fourth and final year veterinary undergraduates during clinical rotations.
You will be involved in the initial evaluation and diagnostic work-up of cases, both during normal working hours and as a participant in the out-of-hours rota.
You will be involved in the management of your cases, within various clinical services within the hospital. You will also be responsible for communication with the owners and referring veterinary surgeons, as directed by the Senior Clinician.

You will be required to participate in the OOH resident rota approx. 1 in 5.

This position does not involve enrolment with any EBVS college.

You must be MRCVS registered by the employment start date.
