Job Advert Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tarian Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU). ROCUs form a critical part of the national policing network, providing a range of specialist policing capabilities to forces which help them to investigate, disrupt and dismantle serious and organised crime effectively.

Tarian capabilities include the Tackling Organised Exploitation Programme (TOEX), undercover policing, specialist surveillance, cyber-crime investigation, and economic crime investigation. Tarian investigate and disrupt organised crime groups operating across police force boundaries. Additionally, we act as an important point of connection between police forces and the National Crime Agency (NCA).

We are seeking to recruit a Regional Intelligence Analyst to work within the Tackling Organised Exploitation (TOEX) team, as part of the wider ROCU Research and Analysis capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient analysis, to support intelligence development to tackle Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Organised Immigration Crime (OIC), Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking, and County Lines across the Southern Wales region.

To find out more about Tarian and TOEX please see the following links:

Whilst there will be a requirement to attend the office to provide operational support and attend meetings, there is flexibility within the role for working from home.

This role may require attendance at meetings and/or training at venues throughout the UK as well as travel within the Southern Wales Region.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.

Please note, if you are an internal candidate and subject to an ongoing PSD investigation, your appointment or placement in the role may be delayed pending an outcome. Whether the role is held open will be considered on a case-by-case basis

As an equal opportunities' employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates are currently underrepresented within the Force, we would particularly welcome applications from ethnically diverse candidates.

To support the ambition of a diverse workforce, South Wales Place is able to offer a Guaranteed Interview Scheme (GIS). The GIS is available for people living with a disability or identify as ethnically diverse.
