Person specificationEducation/ Qualification Essential criteria - Degree level education or previous relevant experience in an Information Governance related field
- ISEB qualification in FOI and /or DPA or equivalent.
- Evidence of recent and ongoing CPD / learning in DPA / FOI / Information Governance
Desirable criteria - GDPR Practitioner Certificate
Experience Essential criteria - Specialist expertise in Freedom of Information Act 2000 legislation
- Expertise in Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR legislation
- Understanding of complex public sector organisation and effective partnership working
- An understanding of NHS legislation, governance frameworks and standards
- Understanding and knowledge of records management
- Understanding and knowledge of confidentiality guidance (Caldicott)
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of handling and responding to FOI and Data Protection queries
- Experience of successfully engaging and working with a range of staff and members of the public.
- Previous experience of working in a public facing team within the healthcare sector • Experience of planning and delivering training sessions to multidisciplinary groups
Desirable criteria - Familiarity with incident reporting and investigation methods
- Project Management qualification
- Experience of use of clinical systems for records extraction and auditing.
