We are recruiting an Income Collection and Support Officer x 2 at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours
Contract Type: 2 x Permanent, Full Time
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Housing Services

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

We pay an attractive salary of £31,537 - £34,434 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Income Collection & Support Officer to join our busy team. You will manage rent accounts, recover arrears, negotiate repayment arrangements, and provide support to residents experiencing financial difficulties.

The role also includes representing the Authority at County Court hearings when required. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, empathy, resilience, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. If you can work independently and as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.

For the role, we ask that you have:
  • Level 3 qualification
  • Current working knowledge of welfare benefits, housing benefits and Universal Credit.
  • Experience of working within a Housing environment.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit tenants, attend meetings and Court.
