The Opportnity:

We have an exciting opportnity for an ICT Secrity Analyst to join or ICT Team and help protect the Concil's systems, networks and information from evolving cyber threats.

Abot the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of or cyber secrity response. Yo will be the first point of contact for ICT secrity isses, helping to identify, investigate and respond to threats while improving the controls that protect or technology and data. Yo will monitor secrity systems, review emerging risks and work with local and national partners to keep or approach crrent and effective.

Yo will help design, implement, maintain and monitor secrity measres across or systems and networks. Yo will also keep cyber secrity docmentation and incident response procedres p to date, spport reglar testing and help deliver practical cyber secrity awareness and training for employees and Concillors.

Alongside yor secrity responsibilities, yo will contribte to the wider ICT service, inclding Microsoft 365 administration, infrastrctre and application pdates, network monitoring, ser spport and service reqests. Working within ITIL and change management processes, yo will provide clear advice, accrate records and excellent cstomer service.Job Accontabilities

To be the first point of contact for ICT Secrity isses, co-ordinating the Concil's cyber secrity response.

To deliver excellent commnications and cstomer service to all service sers, inclding employees, members and other cstomers.

To ensre all members of the ICT team are aware of the Cyber Incident response and escalation process and spport the Technical Delivery Manager to reglarly test and review these processes.

To keep abreast of emerging threats, soltions and best practice, working with local and national partners to ensre that the organisation has the most p to date information to protect systems and data.

To spport the Technical Delivery Manager and Head of Digital to design and deliver corporate cyber secrity training for employees and members.

To identify, design, implement, maintain and monitor secrity architectre and other measres for the protection of compter systems, networks and information.

Operate the service desk tool logging ser incidents, problems and service reqests.

Setting p new sers on the ICT systems, carrying ot "hosekeeping" as reqired.

Adhere to all ITIL, docmentation and change management processes.

Spport sers when they enconter problems in the day-to-day sage of IT eqipment.

To ensre all docmentation relating to cyber secrity is p to date and reviewed reglarly.

Spport the ICT team with:

O365 spport and administration.

Reglar Infrastrctre, System and Application pdates/pgrades.

Application administration.

ser and desktop spport.

Server backp systems, changing tapes and managing the backp schedle.

File/folder/system restores as reqired.

Monitoring, spport, maintenance of the network/telephony infrastrctre.

Desktop bilds, rebilds and maintenance.

To provide ot of hors spport and monitoring for reglar processes and technical spport where needed as part of an early/late shift arrangement and on call arrangement.

Experience

To apply, yo will have a Level 5 qalification in Cyber Secrity, or an eqivalent level of experience. Yo will bring experience of managing and spporting secrity technologies sch as firewalls, intrsion detection, anti-virs, athentication, log management and content filtering, together with a sond nderstanding of network and operating system secrity.

The sccessfl candidate will be crios, methodical and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to commnicate technical risks clearly.
