£50.75 per direct hour, this includes 2 or more of the following elements: teaching, preparation and marking of the scheduled programme of work.

A flat rate of £20.72 per direct teaching hour will be paid for completing one of the above elements of the schedule.

The number of hours required and the days of the week may vary.

About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Hourly Paid Lecturer(s) in Sport Management to teach and contribute to the excellent working atmosphere in the Department of Sport Science. You will be a great communicator and team player. You will deliver undergraduate taught modules, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects, and contribute to the employability potential of our students. Expertise in the areas of Event Management and Sports Marketing is particularly desirable.

The successful candidates will join the thriving and innovative Department of Sport Science which aims to provide inspirational teaching as well as rich personal and professional development opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

You will work under the direction of the Deputy Head of Department or a Principal Lecturer in delivering high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Duties will include preparation, delivery, and marking where required.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate ideas effectively using a variety of teaching methods and have detailed knowledge of the particular subject area

About Us
The Department of Sport Science is based within the School of Science and Technology on NTU's Clifton Campus. The Department is also home to the Sport and Wellbeing Academy (SAWA), which provides undergraduate and postgraduate students with valuable real-world experience through clinical exercise referral services, performance support for NTU Sport and BUCS athletes, and community engagement initiatives, including coaching and Daily Mile programmes in local schools.

The Department benefits from strong interdisciplinary collaborations across the School, with opportunities to work alongside colleagues in Biosciences, including the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre, as well as Chemistry and Forensic Science, Computing and Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics.

Nottingham Trent University has a long-established reputation for delivering high-quality sport-related courses. Today, the Department comprises 77 academic staff, including postdoctoral researchers, academic associates, and SAWA practitioners, alongside approximately 45 PhD researchers and large cohorts of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Significant recent investment has further enhanced the Department's facilities, research environment, and student experience. Our state-of-the-art resources include four physiology laboratories, a Clinical Exercise Physiology Laboratory, a British Olympic Association-approved environmental chamber, a performance analysis suite, and two biomechanics and neuromuscular performance laboratories.
