Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for apassionate, organised andinnovativeHighly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join ourMainstream Schools team, 3 days a week.

Working collaboratively with children, families, schools and partner agencies, you will support children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs across mainstream educational settings. You will also play a key role inworking jointly withthe wider service including Pre-School and ALN teams to enhance knowledge and support skills needed to provide a high-quality service to all children. You will be involved in service evaluation and development, training junior staff, and working jointly with education in navigating the complexities of universal, targeted and specialist tiered support. Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the triage and prioritisation of referrals, caseload management and allocation and the assessment, intervention and management of a complex paediatric caseload.Youwill contribute to the delivery of training and education for colleagues, wider multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies, as well as providing clinical education and support to Speech and Language Therapy students.

Opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD) and regular clinical supervision are actively encouraged and supported within BCUHB Speech and Language Therapy Services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; however, Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

• Accredited Practice Placement Educator Certificate
