Are you a proactive physiotherapist with a passion for working with children? Do you want to inspire and make a difference?

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic physiotherapist to join our expanding paediatric physiotherapy team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, to lead and develop the Cystic Fibrosis Paediatric Physiotherapy service.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is a shared care centre for CF who work together with the Tertiary Centre at Addenbrooke's Hospital to provide in-patient, out-patient and home care to children and adolescents living in the Peterborough City area. As a Paediatric Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in CF you will work closely with the CF MDT to deliver physiotherapy support to children and their families across the acute and community environment. CF care has dramatically changed in recent years and it is therefore essential that you have experience working with patients who have chronic respiratory conditions and knowledge of exercise/health prescription.

The post holder will be required to participate in our on call rota (adults and children). The successful candidate will be required to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of a growing service, which will also include working on our children's ward.

An element of remote working would be considered for the right applicant.

Main duties of the job

The Highly Specialist physiotherapist working with the Paediatric Therapy Team develops the quality of the clinical service and staff that deliver it. The post holder will work using an enhanced level of practice applying specialist knowledge and skills in the field of paediatric cystic fibrosis. Working within the cystic fibrosis multi-disciplinary team they will assess and treat a specialist complex caseload of patients and make clinical decisions for treatment plans.

They will act as the profession specific lead to support the training and development of the clinical staff within the Paediatric therapy team and wider multidisciplinary team. To lead on service development, audit and assist in research initiatives to deliver on best practice evidence based care in line with trust and national priorities. They will be responsible for the delivery of key quality performance indicators linked to providing high quality care.

Essential

  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • Evidence of post graduate training/qualification relevant to clinical area -paediatrics, respiratory and cystic fibrosis
