Lead Children's Physiotherapy - Redway School

Department: Therapies

Band 7, £49,387 - £56,515 Per annum pro rata

Hours: Part time, 17 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 7 Children's Physiotherapist to join our Children's Therapy Team. The team delivers physiotherapy services to children and young people aged 0-19 years across acute and community settings.

This post will be based at Redway School, working with children and young people with complex needs. The role will include complex assessment, developing and reviewing physiotherapy programmes, ordering and reviewing equipment, contributing to and reviewing annual reviews for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and liaising with families and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit a physiotherapist with experience of working with children and young people with complex needs who is keen to continue developing the physiotherapy service at Redway School. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting families and liaising with health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a high-quality, child-centred service.The postholder will be involved in the supervision and support of Band 6 physiotherapists and students, as well as providing clinical support to two Assistant Practitioners. You will also work alongside another Band 7 physiotherapist, providing opportunities for shared clinical support, collaborative working and involvement in service planning and development.Redway School has also recently appointed a full-time paediatric physiotherapist. This is a wonderful opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues to further develop and deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service for children and young people with complex needs.We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing clinical and managerial support from experienced specialist staff, regular in-house training, and opportunities to contribute to service development.
