Job title and organisation: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - West End Primary School
Salary: SO1, SCP 23 - 25 (pay award pending), FTE £34,434 - £36.363, Actual salary £25,461 - £26,887
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3:30pm, TTO - 38 weeks
Contract: Permanent
Location: West End Primary School, Horsforth, Leeds

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HLTA to join team West End. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and conscientious TA level 4 (HLTA) or above.

WEPS is a one form entry primary school, with a nursery, located in Horsforth, Leeds. We are proud of our reputation as an inclusive school with a nurturing ethos and a strong community focus. The successful candidate will work across school providing class cover for PPA as well as working with small groups and individual children.

You will:
  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of our children
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence and inclusion
  • Monitor pupil progress and feedback constructively to the staff team
  • Prepare and adapt learning resources to meet a variety of needs.
  • Under the guidance of the class teacher plan and prepare lessons when covering classes
  • Be a strong team player who is able to develop positive and strong professional relationships with colleagues
