Here's the excitingbit... A day incldes:

To lead the implementation,monitoring and maintenance of the site Health and Safety management systems.
To coach and develop the DC management teams to drive ownership andleadership qalities within the Distribtion Centre.
To lead the Health and SafetyTraining Team delivering all MHE and all elements of health & safetytraining programmes.
Bsiness partnering with the DC management teams to lead and inflenceall on site health and safety activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the primary instigator and co-ordinator for the planning andimplementation of the employee health and safety, taking lead on initiativesfor continos improvements

To lead the Safety TrainingTeam in delivering all MHE and health & safety training. Ensring systemsand processes are in place to meet stattory compliance.

Lead development / improvements of risk assessments and safe system ofworks throghot the DC, ensring consistency across the spply chain.

Ensre Managers, Team Leadersand employees are trained and eqipped to carry ot their legislative healthand safety obligations, coaching and spporting where needed.

Be the spply chain expert inall health and safety matters, bsiness partnering with the site managementteam to drive the health and safety agenda and cltre. Attending relevant health and safetymeetings, site management meetings and 3rd party meetings asreqired to provide competent safety advice.

Lead site safety adits andinspections and implementing & monitoring corrective actions to conclsion

Monitor health and safety implementation on site, liaising with managersto raise isses of non-compliance offering advice, coaching and spport wherereqired.

Lead the completion ofaccident investigations and stattory reporting for effective closre asreqired, so that incidents are flly addressed with casation factors andlearnings

Collate, report and analyse accident statisticsand other health and safety KPI's to senior management and the Health andSafety Committees and pblish / commnicate corrective measres to minimise /eliminate their reoccrrence.

Leadspply chain and 3rd party safety adits, escalating to relevantstake holders

Condct company health and safety indctions,safety tors and safety inspections.

Provide gidance anddirection to safety representatives, fire marshal's, senior fire marshal andfirst aiders and maintain / commnicate pdated lists.
Report all necessary commnications with the Environment Health Office& Primary Athority to the Senior H&S Manager.
Prse continos professional development,ensring yor own skills and knowledge are always p to date with the latestchanges in legislation and codes of practice, implementing any reqiredoperational changes and pskilling the management team as needed.

Essential
Level 6 Occpational Health & Safety Qalification or working towards.
Training / train the trainer Qalification and experience
Coaching / Development Skillset and experience

Desirable

Relevant health and safety experience gained in a mlti -site / FCMG / distribtion environment
Fire safety qalification

Development

AS Watson actively promote and facilitate personal continos development.

Ability to take the lead and coach in all on site health and safety sitations offering competent health and safety advice
Ability to plan and organise all indction and refresher MHE and Health & Safety training.
Excellent relationship management and bsiness partnering skills with the confidence and presence to inflence the management team and senior stakeholders
Forward thinking with the ability to proactively solve problems
Self-motivator who can prioritise workload and work well nder pressre
Resilienceto continosly drive and lead the health and safety cltre
