The post holder would also be expected to contribute to generating project costings and quotes, contribute to grant funding bids e.g. NIHR i4i PDA, RfPB, represent CHEATA at client meetings as part of overall CHEATA business development support as well as presentation/attendance at workshops, conferences etc.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • First degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
  • Evidence of continuing education, particularly in health economics and/or health technology assessment
  • Evidence of specialist health economic training and qualifications


Desirable criteria
  • Higher degree (PhD) or equivalent


Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of having undertaken significant health economic modelling such as formal decision-analytic models (including but not limited to Markov and decision tree analyses for cost utility, cost consequence, cost effectiveness and cost benefit modelling) as well as simpler budget impact assessment or other cost analysis models
  • Evidence of having undertaken HTA activities


Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of having undertaken medical device specific health economics


Communication & Relationship Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent communications skills, written and oral
  • Ability to present complex data


Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of report generation


Analytical & Judgement Skills

Essential criteria
  • Critically analyse complex data sets

  • The primary function of CHEATA is to support adoption of medical technology into the NHS. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate has a good understanding of the wider medical technology agenda in the NHS
