The Vacancy

St Lawrence Academies Trust is a church based Multi-Academy Trust wanting to serve the young people and communities that our schools are set in. We are a mixed multi academy Trust with church and community schools from both the primary to the secondary phase.

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our growing trust as a Headteacher at Westwoodside Church of England Primary Academy. This is a unique dual-aspect post combining 4 days per week as Headteacher with 1 day per week as an Education Support Partner working within the St Lawrence Academies Trust central team

As a 'young' Trust we are looking for somebody who will work with us to help shape the Trust and to be willing to build, share and receive learning and experience across the family of schools that we are seeking to build. The 1 day per week Education Support Partner role will enable you to extend your impact beyond your own academy, working strategically to support educational improvement and share expertise across our wider family of schools.

  5. Recognises that attainment and progress are valuable ingredients in a holistic education that nurtures children, ignites a love of learning and a curiosity about the world in which they live, preparing them for their next steps in education and beyond
  6. Has excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates understanding, empathy and respect for the whole school community
  7. Has a successful record of securing and maintaining school improvement
  8. Can inspire and empower others, lead change and ensure high outcomes through robust quality assurance
  9. Has an in depth knowledge of safeguarding in school
  10. Has the system leadership capability and collaborative vision to effectively deliver 1 day per week as an Education Support Partner across the Trust
