** Background The Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusion plays a critical role in helping to prioritise staff and student development, engagement, accreditation, monitoring and integrated practice improvement needs. Led by the Assistant Vice-President (EDI) who reports to the President, the Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusion is a single University-wide unit that works proactively to foster an inclusive organisational culture and support the progression and success of staff and students.
** Responsibilities The Head of EDI will provide strategic leadership and expert advice on equity, diversity and inclusion across the University, supporting the Assistant Vice-President (EDI). They will lead the Office for Institutional Equity & Inclusion and outputs, ensure legal and best-practice compliance and drive priorities and plans that deliver the University's EDI commitments while championing an inclusive culture.
** Person Specification Experience of working at a senior level in an EDI role in HE or other large, complex organisation, leading the strategic direction of an organisation's EDI activities, leading a high-performing EDI team, translating EDI strategy into operational practice and managing multiple institutional projects through effective prioritisation and project management.
