We are seeking an inspirational and forward-thinking leader to drive the next phase of digital innovation at Suffolk New College, shaping how technology enhances teaching, learning and student success across our multi-campus organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to join our management team as Head of Digital Futures, leading the development and delivery of our digital vision and ensuring technology enhances teaching, learning, assessment and the overall learner experience.

As a key member of the management team, you will champion digital transformation across curriculum and support services, embedding innovative and inclusive practices that equip our learners with the skills they need for the future workplace.

You will provide strategic leadership for the implementation of the College's digital strategy, driving the adoption of high-quality digital practice and developing staff confidence in the effective use of technology. You will lead innovation in areas including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and other emerging technologies, ensuring they are embedded in meaningful ways that improve outcomes for learners.

An influential and collaborative leader, you will have a proven track record of driving digital change within education or a closely related sector. You will be passionate about developing people, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence, and helping colleagues embrace new opportunities to enhance learning through technology.

The role requires strong relationship-building skills, enabling you to work effectively with employers, digital partners, awarding organisations and other stakeholders to ensure the College remains at the forefront of digital education and workforce development.

While primarily a strategic leadership role, the successful candidate will also undertake a small teaching commitment and will therefore need to demonstrate outstanding practice within a relevant digital discipline. You should hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in a digital field, together with Level 2 English and maths qualifications and a Level 5 teaching qualification.

This post is based at Suffolk New College, Ipswich. As a multi-campus organisation, you will be required to work at and travel between College campuses as required.

At Suffolk New College, we promote the culture of BeSNC. Implementing BeSNC is not just a choice; it's a commitment to providing the best possible environment for our learners to thrive. It's a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and supportive community where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.
