Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - Medical Degree
- Full registration with the GMC- on the GP Register
- On the UK specialist register for General Practice or within 6 months of being so
- At least 6 months experience of working within the UK NHS
Desirable criteria Experience Essential criteria - Competence to treat adult and paediatric cases likely to be discharged home, including psychological and gynaecological emergencies
Desirable criteria - Previous working in a walk in centre, urgent treatment centre or emergency department
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities Essential criteria - Prioritisation skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in a team and be governed by ESHT policies and procedures
- Effective negotiation skills
- Understanding principles of clinical governance
- Awareness of safeguarding mechanisms for adults and children
- Demonstrates leadership and motivational skills
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
Desirable criteria - Knowledge of local and national agendas in respect of urgent care
- Able to use eOasis, IBIS, SystmOne
Other Essential criteria - The ability to self motivate
- A flexible approach to team rota planning
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to recognise own limitations and act on appropriately
- Willingness to learn new competencies
- Must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust values
- Reliable work record
- DBS clearance
