Are you our next Government & Infrastructure Manager, focusing on Strategic Infrastructure Asset Management? Location: Belfast, as part of our hybrid working model.

A snapshot of your peer group: - A deep interest in infrastructure and asset management principles with expertise in one or more sectors such as energy, water, transport, or the built environment.
- Experience engaging with senior management on strategic asset management topics and challenges.
- A good understanding of asset management principles and how to apply them to address business challenges.
- Assessing and understanding risks at both a business and an asset portfolio level.
- Awareness of the high-level policy, governance, and operating environment within which Irish public sector, State, and Semi-State organisations plan, procure, deliver, and operate major infrastructure investments, including alignment with National Development Plan (NDP) objectives and priorities.
- Deep knowledge in one or more area to include:
- the development of asset strategies
- asset management operating models and culture
- knowledge of ISO 55001 and maturity models
- development and application of value frameworks for asset intensive organisations
- investment decision making approaches
- asset health and performance
- maintenance strategies and optimisation approaches
- portfolio optimisation and management
- asset data and information strategies and approaches
- asset management systems and digital tools including smart technologies.
- awareness of the principles of infrastructure regulation and the price review process.
- Experience of Enterprise Asset Management systems use, or implementation would be a distinct advantage.
- A third level degree in a related subject such as, Engineering, Maths, Physics, or Economics.
- At least 5 years' relevant previous experience.
- Comfortable handling ambiguity and responding to changing client demands.
- High levels of drive, ambition and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team players who work with colleagues and has experience managing teams in a collaborative and inclusive way.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and financially astute.
- Awareness of large asset owning organisations in Ireland across the public and private sectors
- Awareness of trends in digital approaches and improvements within Infrastructure sectors or Awareness of data and information frameworks such as BIM and Digital Twins.
- Insight on where trends in other sectors could be applied to Infrastructure would be an advantage.
- Awareness of decarbonisation policy and NetZero policies in Ireland, Northern Ireland and in the EU.
- Awareness of wider perspective on ESG areas including the Green Procurement, Circular Economy and reporting requirements.
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect: - Working in teams in a hybrid environment across diverse and complex government and private sector infrastructure and energy client engagements.
- Utilising your industry experience to assist clients through support and advisory services.
- Analysing project and programmes control and strategic processes, policies and procedures while validating key findings / observations to present key recommendations to the client in a succinct manner.
- Present reports in MS PowerPoint through concise / crisp presentation forms.
- Working on multiple engagements for different clients at any one time.
- Potential to be seconded into client firms to assist during high output project phases.
- Collaborate with team members internally and client managers externally to meet agreed deliverable milestones.
- Helping to manage the day-to-day relationship with key client contacts, ensuring our service is responsive to their needs.
- Managing the use and development of tools and methodologies across the team and within projects.
- Engaging with global teams to leverage experience, resources, and capabilities.
- Ensuring KPMG's quality and risk management procedures are completed to the appropriate standard.
- Ensuring that the quality of our deliverables is of a high standard and compliant to ISO:9001.
- Applying innovative and creative techniques to solve complex problems on client engagements.
