Hairdressing TechnicianHourly Rate: £13.87 per hour Contract Type: Variable Hours

Variable Hours

This role is offered on a Variable Hours contract for services, giving you the flexibility to choose whether to accept work offered to you. We'll provide an approximate number of hours you may be asked to work, however there is no obligation for work to be offered, and there's no obligation for you to accept the work offered.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Hairdressing Technician to support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within our Hairdressing provision.

Working alongside our teaching team, you will help ensure that our salons and practical learning environments are well prepared, safe and equipped for lessons and practical activities. You will support the day-to-day running of the area, including preparing and maintaining equipment and resources, while helping to create a professional and welcoming environment for our students.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hairdressing knowledge and experience who enjoys supporting others and wants to play an important role in helping our students develop the practical skills and confidence they need to succeed.

About You

You will have a good understanding of the hairdressing industry and be confident working within a practical salon environment. Organised and approachable, you will be able to work effectively as part of a team while managing your own responsibilities.

You will have a positive attitude towards supporting learners and understand the importance of maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene and professionalism within a practical learning environment.

Required
  • Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing or equivalent qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 year's salon experience
  • Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy or equivalent
  • Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy or equivalent
  • Good word processing skills.
