Job description

We are seeking to appoint a General Catering Assistant. This is a hospitality role, helping to support the College's busy Catering Team in providing smooth service to staff and students. As an institution we take great pride and care in the delivery of excellence in education, and our support services are integral to this aim.

Contract: Permanent, Term time, Part time (10 hours per week: Monday - Friday, 8am - 10am)

Salary: £5,705 per annum pro rata (Support Spine Point 3, £24,759 per annum FTE)

About this role

We are seeking a proactive, professional and friendly colleague to join our Catering Team and assist with a range of activities, both behind the scenes food preparation and front of house customer service.

The Catering Team, located across two kitchens within the College site, offers a diverse selection of meticulously prepared hot and cold food and drinks, serving both our staff and students. With a commitment to excellence, the team delivers a seamless and professional service that adheres to the highest standards. In addition to catering to the daily needs of the college community, the team also provide first-class hospitality services for various events.

The Catering Team oversees the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas, ensuring a tidy, hygienic and well-maintained environment. As an integral part of the College Support Team, they also help in the upkeep and presentation of the seating areas, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
