A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Princess Risborough is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join its team from September 2026. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that develop students' practical cooking skills, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.
• Teach key aspects of food preparation, nutrition, food science, and healthy eating, ensuring lessons are both informative and relevant to everyday life.
• Create a safe, organised, and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive and enjoy practical learning.
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help every learner achieve their potential.
• Contribute to the wider life of the department by supporting enrichment opportunities such as cooking clubs, themed events, competitions, and whole-school activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an inspiring curriculum and share best practice across the department.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and classroom management in line with school policies.

Requirements:

• Is confident delivering both practical and theory-based lessons, inspiring students to develop essential culinary and nutritional knowledge.
• Brings energy, creativity, and a student-centred approach to teaching, encouraging participation and a love of learning.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Is well organised, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high teaching standards while contributing positively to the wider school community.
