Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Casual Cleaner to join our dedicated premises team. This is an ideal opportunity for an organised individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic
environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out daily cleaning duties across specified areas of the school, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Safe operation of domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials.
• Deep cleaning duties, floor care, and emptying waste bins to designated disposal points.
• De-scaling sanitary areas and upholding high hygiene standards throughout the school site.
• Reporting faults, structural damage, or stock requirements to the site management team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and takes pride in their work.
• Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety, and manual handling procedures (or a willingness to learn).
• Is flexible, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Possesses good communication skills and a friendly approach.

Previous experience in a cleaning role or school environment is desirable but not essential, full training and induction will be provided.
